Haji Najibullah was convicted of kidnapping Pulitzer Prize winner David Rohde in 2008 and providing weapons that killed three US soldiers. Rohde confronted him in court, describing the ambush that held him captive for seven months. Najibullah will serve his sentence in federal prison.
