Chad Essert, 44, the top cop of Bethel, Ohio, was indicted on 56 counts of sexual battery and 14 counts of unlawful conduct with a minor. Authorities say the alleged crimes occurred between 2005 and 2010 when he was a Young Marines instructor and teacher. He was arrested in Florida and faces up to 280 years in prison if convicted.
