Drivers spotted a male lying in the southbound lanes near I-290 around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday and called 911, even blocking traffic to protect him. An SUV swerved around them, struck the man, and drove off. He was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police are searching for the driver.
